2015年6月1日至6月5日，申锦瑜教授和朱首贤副教授参加了在澳大利亚堪培拉举行的第7届国际海洋数值模拟会议The 7th International Workshop for Modeling the Ocean (IWMO2015)。申锦瑜教授主持了“Circulation and Dynamics”的专题分会，并且作了“Statistical estimation of the impact of climate change on extreme waves over the northwest Atlantic”和“Investigation of wave- current interaction over the eastern Canadian shelf using a coupled circulation- wave model”的学术报告，朱首贤副教授作了“Tidally-averaged water and salinity transports over estuarine and coastal waters, with an application to the Pearl River Estuary”的学术报告，并与国际同行进行了深入交流。
IWMO国际会议由美国普林斯顿大学发起、主要集中于海洋数值模式和数值模拟的国际会议，每年由不同国家轮流举办，在国际上有比较大的影响，受到了国际该行业同仁的高度重视。下一届IWMO国际会议（IWMO2017）将于2017年6月在意大利召开。
